Enjoy Twilight Golf in The Desert
Few states beat Arizona for its golf weather and numerous courses, and that means there are lots of opportunities to secure an Arizona tee time – the Arizona Golf Association has a membership of some 375 clubs. Even with all those holes, there are still hordes of golfers on the more popular courses, including some who have not played much before. Brush up on your patience and your golf etiquette before hitting the desert tracks. Most Arizona golf courses, especially those connected to a resort, insist that you use a cart, so remember the pace can be fast on Arizona golf courses.

Take advantage of in-cart GPS systems that tell you how far you are from the pin – ask at the pro shop before play starts if you have questions about how the system works. Greens fees can get pricey, but twilight hour golf rates usually come way down and allow for some pleasant late-afternoon weather conditions. Venture out a little from Phoenix-proper in The Valley and experience the beauty of Sedona, Scottsdale and the surrounding outposts where courses are tucked between cacti and climbing peaks.
